Troy Road Homestead
This is the Troy Road House.
As seen in the photo, I raised the grade in our front lawn quite a bit at the lowest location. The rest of the front lawn's new grade was not so dramatic. The Grate seen in the photo was planned on being raised by myself since I have a couple decades in masonry at phenominally more complicated tasks than raising a grate. But the notion was shot down by (take a guess). So now we have a pit to the drainage grate. The Department of Transportation of Ohio then stated that they would rather perform the arduous task and that it would incur no additional cost to me. Upon pulling the permit, the O.D.O.T agent returned with bad news. Seems to me that if I owned a house or a state, that I would want it to look better (not worse). Needless to say, the hole in our front lawn is an eye-sore.
Samlex, a Company that Delivers a Good Product
Although not much was known about the Samlex Corporation, this 600w-1200w inverter was put to a rigorous test running well-above it's stated nominal value. This prompted the purchase from the same manufacturer for the 1500w-3000w upgrade (which also has operated flawlessly to this very day.

In an effort to save the two fruit trees from each year's wet-season, drain-tile is buried to carry off the excess precipitation.
Primary Battery Bank
This is another photo of the 48v battery bank that handles the bulk of the larger loads.
Does anybody know why?
Discovery that brass connectors do not promote the terminals to sulphate.
The Experimental Batteries
This is a photo of the experimental batteries. There are 8 6v batteries and the tests have encompassed 12, 24, and 48v banks.
Battery Acid Remedy
Baking Soda is to the rescue.
Even if only a few drops spilled, Baking Soda is to the rescue.
The best advice I can give, is to not purchase "duracell" batteries. The investment is a waste of time and money. From now on only Trojans or bust.
Early experimental battery bank.
Learned Lesson: Never mix batteries of differing capacities.
